Man almost hits pedestrians at Speedway to flee from police

26-year-old Tyler Gross was charged with reckless endangerment, evading arrest, and driving on revoked 3rd offense after he told his friend he had one chance to jump out then sped out of the Speedway parking lot fleeing from police.

Deputy Chris Finley observed a vehicle recklessly pulling out of the Speedway parking lot and activated his lights and sirens. The vehicle pulled back into the parking lot and the passenger jumped out. The vehicle then took off through the parking lot nearly hitting two people walking out of Speedway. A check ran against Tyler showed that he had previously been convicted of driving on a revoked license on two other occasions. Derris Snell, the passenger, told Deputy Chris Finely that Tyler told him he had one chance to jump out so he did. Derris told police that Tyler had drugs on him and identified it as “probably ice.”

Tyler Gross was later arrested and charged with Reckless Endangerment, Evading Arrest, and Revoked Driver’s License 3rd Offense. His bond was set at $10,000.
