Man charged in high dollar vacuum heist

41-year-old Anthony Stoglin was charged with theft of merchandise after he was caught stealing two vacuum cleaners from the Target on South Mount Juliet Road.

On March 14th, police were dispatched to the Target on South Mount Juliet Road in reference to a theft of merchandise call. Police spoke with Loss Prevention associate Jared Darrough who stated Anthony Stoglin had stolen two vacuum cleaners from the location.

Anthony was seen against the back wall loading the items into a cart and then walked past all points of sale without paying for the merchandise, according to the affidavit. Anthony was later taken into custody and transported to booking.

Anthony Stoglin was arrested and charged with theft of merchandise and his bond was set at $5,000.
