39-year-old Omie Nicole Osborne was charged with public intoxication and possession of meth after she climbed on top of a trash compactor behind the J. C. Penney’s at 401 S. Mt. Juliet Rd. and refused to come down claiming she was afraid because the ground was littered with guns.
On May 29, 2020, Mount Juliet Police Department Officer Jordan Brown responded to a disorderly person call. There, Officer Brown found Osborne on top of a trash bin saying she was seeing guns all over the ground. Brown managed to get Osborne down on the ground.
According to the affidavit, Brown noticed Osborne had pinpoint pupils, she couldn’t stop moving and had a hard time standing. While being processed, she was found with a plastic bag in her bra and a small, glass jar – both containing what Brown believed to be meth.
Omie Nicole Osborne was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and public intoxication. She was released on her own recognizance while awaiting trial.
