Lebanon man steals $200 weed eater from local middle school

46-year-old Jeffery Neal was charged with theft of property after stealing a $200 weed eater from the fence line of the nearby middle school, per report.

On July 12th, Field Training Officer (FTO) Seth Jackson witnessed a man, later identified as Jeffery Neal, carrying a weed eater off of the grounds of Walter J. Baird Middle School. FTO Jackson followed a set of footprints he located on North Green Extension and was able to locate the weed eater.

The officer confronted Neal on Cole Avenue who admitted to stealing the weed eater from the fence line at Walter J Baird, and that the machine was not his property. Officer Jackson estimated the value of the weed eater at $200 and placed Jeffery Neal under arrest.

Jeffery Neal was arrested and charged with theft of property. His bond was set at $1,500.
