Intoxicated man with no license couldn’t stay in his own lane

36-year-old Mario Garcia was charged with driving under the influence and driving without a license after being pulled over for not staying in his lane on Murfreesboro Road in Lebanon.

On August 8th, Corporal Chris Brandenburg was working impaired traffic enforcement when he observed a vehicle not staying in its lane of travel. He stopped the vehicle, found the driver to be Mario Garcia, and the passenger was Alba Maldonado. Cpl. Brandenburg stated he could smell alcoholic beverages coming from the vehicle and Garcia’s breath.

Garcia was also unsteady on his feet when he stepped from the vehicle. Cpl. Brandenburg performed a myriad of field sobriety tests all of which exhibited Garcia’s impairment. He admitted that he had two bottles of beer before driving. The corporal ran a computer check which exposed Garcia’s license had expired in 2009 and was never reinstated.

Mario Garcia was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and driving without a license. His bond was set at $2,500.
