Jailed man charged with assault for biting officer while moving cells

26-year-old Travis Thomas was charged with assault when he bit an officer while being moved to another jail cell because of his disorderly conduct.

On August 6th, CPL Kamer was in the process of moving Travis Thomas to a different cell in the booking room due to his disorderly conduct in his holding cell that housed other inmates.

Thomas began actively resisting and attempted to headbutt CPL Kamer. Thomas missed but then leaned over and bit CPL Kamer on his right side. The bit was severe enough to draw blood.

Travis Thomas was arrested and charged with assault on a police officer. His bond was set at $4,000.
