34-year-old Emanuel Carvalho was charged with driving under the influence when he admitted to drinking five beers before driving and getting into an accident on South Maple Street in Lebanon.
On July 30th, officer responded to a two-vehicle crash on South Maple at Leeville Pike. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Emanuel Carvalho and noticed that he had an odor of intoxicant about his breath and person, red watery eyes, and was unsteady on his feet.
The officer asked Carvalho to perform some field sobriety tasks and he exhibited clues of impairment, according to the affidavit. Carvalho also admitted to drinking five beers prior to driving.
Emanuel Carvalho was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. He was later released on his own recognizance.
