Man violates order of protection; sends ex-wife messages through mutual friends

28-year-old Jacob Harris was charged with violation of an order of protection after he sent messages to his ex-wife on a regular basis through their mutual friends.

On August 22nd, Lebanon Police Officer Dee Reynolds responded to a reported violation of an order of protection located at 1006 S. Cumberland Center Blvd. Upon arrival, contact was made with Allison Harris, who advised her friend Jessica had sent her a message the previous day from Jacob Harris. The message from Jessica stated that Jake told her via text he wanted to apologize for being a bad husband, and in the end said “thanks Jess, I’m sure the message will find it’s way.”

A separate message was received by a girl named Lisa Barlow who messaged Jessica again which advised her that Jacob would be going to Whiskey River that night, at 102 Rocky Road, and that he didn’t want any

trouble. Allison reported to police that Jacob sends messages about every thirty days despite being aware that he is in violation of his order of protection.

On August 24th, Jacob Harris was arrested and charged with violation of an order of protection. He was later released on his own recognizance.
