Nashville man charged after being found passed out at Shutes Branch Recreation area

37-year-old Andrew Shipley was charged with possession of meth, Gabapentin, Xanax, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia after a report of a possible drug overdose at Shutes Branch Recreation area.

On August 27th, WCSO Deputy Joseph Darbonne responded to a possible drug overdose to Shutes Branch Recreation Area located at 5181 Saundersville Road. Deputy Dabonne located the vehicle and found Andrew Shipley passed out and breathing heavily.

Deputy Darbonne reported that in open view there was a “drug kit” which contained numerous needles, spoons with burned reside on them, a blue straw with a white powdery substance on it, and a glass pipe with residue present. Deputy Dabonne also retrieved a black bag from under the driver’s seat that contained 9 Gabapentin pills, crystal flakes believed to be methamphetamine, cardboard with a white substance believed to be cocaine, and two whole and two broken Xanax bars. Andrew Shipley admitted that he did not have a prescription for any of the drugs. Shipley was transported to Summit Medical Center for treatment.

Andrew Shipley was charged with possession of meth, Gabapentin, Xanax, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $2,500.
