Father and son fire back in retaliation, leaving two people shot

21-year-old Isaias Barajas and 43-year-old Israel Barajas was charged with two counts aggravated assault when they followed a car that shot at their home and fired back leaving two injured.

On September 16th, Lebanon Police Detective Williams spoke to a resident after reporting to 317 East Forrest Avenue for a shooting. The detective was told by witnesses that shots were fired at Israel Barajas’ house but no one was struck.

There were shell casings outside on the street proving the story, then Israel told the detective that he and his son, Isaias Barajas, followed the car who shot at them. He said that they did so in his truck, where he caught up and rammed them. All while Isaias was shooting estimated 11-12 rounds at them with his Glock 23. Later in the investigation, the detective found that the Glock was reported stolen in Indiana in 2010. Wilson County Sheriff’s office was contacted by Vanderbilt Hospital informing them that Quarius Wade and Ernest Searcy were being treated for gunshot wounds. Reportedly they were inside the vehicle who shot at the Barajas’ earlier that day. They were struck by Isaias’ gunfire when he and his father followed them.

Barajas Isaias was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault, theft of property, and violation of probation. He is currently being jailed in lieu of a $101,000 bond.
