35-year-old James Litchford was charged with domestic assault after arguing with his wife about her job, pulling her by her hair, flipping their mattress, and attempting to stop her from leaving.
On October 22nd, Wilson County Deputies were dispatched to a domestic assault call to the residence located at 481 Simmons Bluff Road. When deputies arrived, they made contact with James Litchford and his wife, Brittany Litchford. It was stated the two had been arguing over Brittany’s employment while inside James’s truck. Per the affidavit, James was hitting the steering wheel so Brittany went into the house and to bed.
James then went inside, grabbed her by the hair and arm, pulled her out of the bed, then flipped the mattress. The deputies noted that there was visible bruising on Brittany. She stated that while she was packing a bag to leave, James started pulling her things out. Brittany then grabbed both of her cellphones and went out to the truck. One of the children then called the police, per report.
James Litchford was arrested and charged with domestic assault. He was released on a $3,000 bond.
