Intoxicated man taken into custody after harassing Pilot customers

42-year-old Rodney Sanders was charged with public intoxication after he was reported harassing people at a gas station and admitted to police that he had been drinking vodka.

On November 3rd, Lebanon Police Officer Gray responded to a call of an intoxicated man harassing others at a Pilot gas station, located at 921 Murfreesboro Road. Upon arrival, Officer Gray identified the man as Rodney Sanders and reported that he smelled strongly of alcohol.

Per the report, Sanders exhibited slurred speech, unsteadiness on his feet, and bloodshot, watery eyes. The officer advised that Sanders admitted he had been drinking vodka and was unable to obtain a ride to safety. Due to his level of intoxication and inability to care for himself, he was taken into custody.

Rodney Sanders was arrested and charged with public intoxication. He was released on his own recognizance.
