Man leaves another man bloody after hitting him in the face with tire iron

37-year-old Jacob Doughten was arrested and charged with domestic assault after he told police that he hit a man with a tire iron because he saw a gun in the man’s waistband during their argument.

On October 26, Wilson County Sheriff’s Deputy Kenneth Rollins arrives at a residence located at 10 Old Hunter’s Point Pike in Lebanon due to a report of an assault. He met with Stanton Wilson who stated that he was having a verbal argument with Jacob Doughten, who left the residence. He said that when Stanton and Jacob were in the middle of the argument, Jacob picked up and struck Stanton on the left side of his face with a tire iron.

Jacob then left the residence and called the police, per report. Stanton, the deputy reported, was treated by the Wilson Emergency Management Agency due to the large laceration and blood. Jacob gave his statement that during the argument he saw a handgun in Stanton’s waistband. After investigation, there was reportedly no handgun in Stantons possession, and Jacob was put under arrest.

Jacob Doughten was arrested and charged with domestic assault. He was later released on a $2,500 bond.
