Officer noticed a bulge in man’s pants; he admits to it being 8 grams of blue heroin

33-year-old Maurice Bailey was charged with possession of heroin and hydrocodone with intent to sell after the officer pulled him over for window tint, smelled marijuana, then conducted a search rendering the drugs.

On October 27th, Lebanon Police Sergeant Harvey was in the area of Bluebird Road and he noticed a vehicle with a window tint violation. He performed a traffic stop and spoke to Maurice Bailey about the tint.

Sergeant Harvey stated he smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle and saw a plastic bag containing a blue powdery substance, believed to be heroin. Sgt Harvey asked Bailey to step out of the vehicle and conducted a search. He found two plastic baggies containing a blue powdery substance believed to heroin and a plastic baggy containing seven white pills identified as hydrocodone. Sgt Harvey explained during the search he felt a bulge item in Bailey’s pants. Bailey denied having anything then later admitted that he had a baggy of blue heroin inside his pants. The estimated total weight of heroin that was found was reported to be 10 grams.

Maurice Bailey was arrested and charged with two counts of possession with intent to sell (heroin and hydrocodone.) He is currently jailed in lieu of a $500,000 bond.
