25-year-old Kenneth “Tres” Nelson III was booked into the Wilson County Jail earlier this month after his girlfriend locked him out of her home for being drunk and belligerent. He then broke down a door and door frame to get back inside to retrieve his shoes, at which point he left the home. He was charged with aggravated burglary, vandalism, and domestic assault.

| On 9/2/2021 at approx. 0100 am, I, Cpl Cannon WVCSO, was dispatched to 129 Cherokee Dock Rd to investigate domestic troubles. Upon arrival, l spoke with the victim, Jamie Sutherland. Ms. Sutherland stated Kenneth Nelson 111 was locked out of the house for being drunk and belligerent. She stated he had been yelling at her for hours. Once he was locked out of her home, he used objects from the back porch to break the door and door frame to re-enter the home. Ms. Sutherland and her two children were in the living room at the time. Video evidence was taken of the incident, during the video, witnesses were heard screaming and glass falling onto the floor. This action intentionally caused Ms. Sutherland and her two children to fear imminent bodily injury and believed the contact was extremely offensive. Mr. Nelson was then seen coming through the broken door, then retrieving his shoes. He then left Ms. Sutherland’s residence. Mr. Nelson admitted to deputies he does not reside at 129 Cherokee Dock Rd. The damage to the door and the residence is estimated to be $2500. Mr. Nelson Is being charged with Vandalism greater than $1000, Domestic Assault, and Aggravated Burglary. This all did occur in Wilson County, TN. |
