33-year-old Daniel Hickmann was charged with driving under the influence after he disregarded a traffic signal and upon a search of the vehicle, was found to have an empty case of beer as well as a six-pack of beer on the floorboard.
On November 15th, Lebanon Police Officer Dee Reynolds reported seeing a pickup truck disregard a traffic light on North Cumberland Street. When he initiated a traffic stop, the officer stated that the driver, Daniel Hickmann, appeared to be confused and was unable to locate his insurance and registration.
According to the affidavit, there was an empty box of beer and a full six-pack of bottled beer on the floorboard. Officer Reynolds advised that Hickmann smelled of alcohol and his speech was slurred. He then performed several sobriety tests and Hickmann showed signs of impairment on all of them.
Daniel Hickmann was arrested and charged with DUI. He was released on a $1,250 bond.
