Woman shoots at friend over two ladies they met at Cahoots

28-year-old Malika Anderson was charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, vandalism, possession of a handgun while under the influence, disorderly conduct, and public intoxication after she fired several shots at the ground and at her friend during an argument about two other women.

On December 6th, Lebanon Police Officer Chris Corley responded to a report of a tire being shot from Scottlyn Elie at the residence of Malika Anderson, located at 219 West Forrest Avenue. Upon arrival, Elie advised she and her friend, Malika Anderson, got into an argument about Sidney Becht and Jessie Brown, who they met earlier that day at Cahoots.

She stated they started physically fighting, and Anderson took out a Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun and threatened to kill Elie. According to the affidavit, Anderson fired several times at the ground and shot Elie’s tire, resulting in $200 worth of damage. Elie then left to call the police.

As Officers Taylor and Winfree arrived on the scene, Becht and Brown submitted witness statements, and Anderson admitted to firing her weapon at the ground and at Elie. It was also reported all four women had been drinking and were intoxicated.

Malika Anderson was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, vandalism, possession of a handgun while under the influence, disorderly conduct, and public intoxication. She was released on an $11,500 bond.
