Fugitive jailed after crashing car into hydrant while driving on a revoked license

45-year-old David Cox was charged with criminal impersonation, revoked driver’s license, and vandalism when he smashed a fire hydrant while driving on a revoked license. He also gave officers a false name because of an outstanding warrant.

On May 24th, Lebanon Police Officer Travis Rourke responded to an automobile wreck at Parkside Circe and Cainsville Road. According to affidavits, David Cox had smashed into a fire hydrant causing damage in excess of $1,500.

When Officer Rourke asked for his identification Cox gave him the name Keith Wilson. After searching, that name could not be found and Cox provided his actual name, which carried an outstanding warrant in Nashville.

David Cox (AKA Keith Wilson) was arrested charged with criminal impersonation, revoked driver’s license, and vandalism. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $3,600 bond.
