19-year-old Mireya Herrera, of Lebanon, is charged with aggravated domestic assault after police say she stabbed her boyfriend in the chest. He was transferred to Vanderbilt UMC for his injuries. Her bond was set at $50,000.
Lebanon Police responded to a Wilson County Hospital for a report of a stabbing victim. They quickly learned the victim was in an argument with his girlfriend, Mireya Herrera, at their Peyton Park Apartment. During the argument, the boyfriend sat down at the kitchen table, at which time Herrera is alleged to have gone into the bedroom and retrieved a knife from her purse.
The victim reports she then came up to him, holding the knife ‘backhanded’ and stabbed him in the chest. The victim was transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville for his injuries, and Herrera was charged with aggravated assault, with her bond set at $50,000.
