Man accused of assaulting man he dreamed was raping him in Lebanon Halfway House

31-year-old Ryan Jones says he dreamed one of the 5 other men he shares a bedroom with was raping him. He is charged with assaulting that man while he slept.

Lebanon Police responded to 1107 West High Street, a recovery/halfway house, on October 10th. They learned that Ryan Ellis Jones, 31, shares a bedroom with five other men at the residence, which is where the assault is said to have occurred, as witnessed by 2 other men that live in the room.

The victim, Darrick Donald, reports waking up to Ryan Jones pulling him out of bed, striking him. Jones told officers he was dreaming that Darrick Donald was raping him, and admitted to the assault. Ryan Ellis Jones was booked into the Wilson County jail, charged with domestic assault with bodily injury, where he remained until his court date on October 15th. During court, the charge was pleaded down to simple assault, a $50 fine, and court costs. Additionally, he was given an 11/29 probated sentence, with all but 5 days suspended (time served). He’ll be on probation, and be required to stay away from Darrick Donald as a condition of his sentence.
