Teen admits to being high during Mt. Juliet traffic stop

18-year-old Thomas Guy is charged with DUI after he admitting to being high on marijuana during a traffic stop. in Mt. Juliet, TN.

Mt. Juliet Police Erich Officer Stogner witnessed a vehicle traveling above the posted speed limit on January 25th and initiated a traffic stop. Upon contact, Officer Stogner identified the driver as Thomas Guy and also noticed the strong aroma of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Thomas was asked to step out of the vehicle and Officer Stogner found that Thomas was unsteady on his feet, had bloodshot, watery eyes, and slow, and slurred speech.

Officer Stogner asked Thomas to perform a standard field sobriety test to which he consented. According to an arrest warrant, Thomas exhibited signs of impairment throughout all aspects of the sobriety test admitted to the officer that he was high. Thomas was then taken into custody and transported to booking.

Thomas Guy was arrested for DUI and was later released on his own recognizance.
