Lebanon woman gets charged with more than theft at local Walmart

38-year-old Christina Pellerin was charged with theft of merchandise, simple possession of meth, drug paraphernalia, and public intoxication after she was caught at Walmart not scanning all her items while going through the self-checkout line.

On March 12th, Officer Matt Wigger responded to a call in reference to a shoplifter at Walmart on South Cumberland Street and made contact with Loss Prevention associate Megan Schrieber and a female later identified as Christina Pellerin.

According to the affidavit, Christina admitted to shoplifting and to using methamphetamines prior to officer arrival. Officer Wigger noted that Christina was very fidgety, frantic, and had dilated pupils. The officer also reviewed the security footage and observed Christina take items from in the store, go into the self-checkout line, and not scan all of the items before attempting to leave the store. Megan Schrieber told officers the total value of the items was $27.83.

Officer Wigger then conducted a search of Christina’s purse and found a zipper pouch containing a hypodermic syringe, two bottle caps, and a plastic bag that contained a white crystal-like substance believed to be methamphetamine.

Christina Pellerin was arrested and charged with theft of merchandise, simple possession of meth, drug paraphernalia, and public intoxication. On March 19th, she was released from jail with her sentence served.
