Lebanon man charged with heroin possession after being found disorderly and intoxicated

39-year-old John Crass was charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving under the influence after he was reported for being disorderly and was found to be intoxicated, which led to officers finding heroin in his wallet during a search.

On April 9th, officers were dispatched to Carriage Trail in reference to a disorderly person that was potentially involved in a two-vehicle accident. Upon arrival, contact was made with John Crass, who officers say was standing outside his driver side door with the keys still in the ignition.

Officers noted that John had slurred speech and was very unsteady on his feet. According to the affidavit, John consented to standard field sobriety tests and all showed instances of impairment. When officers searched John, a folded dollar bill was found in his wallet containing a pink substance believed to be heroin.

John Crass was arrested and charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving under the influence. He was later released on his own recognizance.
