22-year-old Darrin Gill was charged with aggravated domestic assault when an argument over loud music in his car escalated to a knife, death threat and a knee to the face of his child’s mother.
On March 12th, officers responded to a report of an assault at Eagle Trace in Mount Juliet. According to the affidavit, Corporal Elliott made contact with Jorday Fugate who affirmed that she and her child’s father Darrin Gill had gotten into a conflict over loud music in the car.
This argument somehow escalated into Gill pulling a knife and threatening Ms. Fugate‘s life. She also testified that she exited the vehicle and Gill pursued her, slammed her to the ground and kneed her in the face. He tackled her to the ground one more time before witnesses gathered affording her the opportunity to escape.
Darrin Gill was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic assault and his bond was set at $3,500.
