Woman charged after her fourth contact in one day with the same officer

45-year-old Tracey Madewell was charged with public intoxication after being reported for being disorderly and hanging out behind an establishment while intoxicated. This was her fourth contact with the same officer that day.

On March 31st, Officer Johns was dispatched to All American Wine & Spirits on 703 South Cumberland Street in reference to a disorderly person. Upon arrival, the officer noted that he observed Tracey Madewell behind the business. According to the affidavit, this was the officer’s fourth contact with Tracey that day.

Officer Johns observed Tracey to be unsteady on her feet, red watery eyes, slurred speech, and the odor of alcohol on her person. Tracey was placed into custody for her safety and that of the general public.

Tracey Madewell was arrested and charged with public intoxication. She was later released on her own recognizance.
