40-year-old Okpara Arnold was charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment after he rammed his vehicle into his 22-year-old ex-girlfriend’s car twice after she left him with her child to escape their abusive relationship, per report.
On May 13th, Officer Luna responded to a disorderly subject at 208 Hill Creek Drive when Officer Luna made contact with the defendant, Okpara Arnold. Arnold told the officer that he was in town from Cookeville to pick up Tondra Branch to take her to go take a urine test. Branch told police that she and Arnold used to be in a relationship together but she took her child and left to stay at her friend’s house to escape the abusive relationship.
She told police that she was trying to leave but Arnold had her vehicle blocked in and rammed her car on the driver side twice when she tried to back up and leave. Arnold then got out of the vehicle and went to his truck and got what looked like a knife to possibly slash her tires, Branch said. She got the vehicle out of the parking spot and started traveling around the apartment with Arnold following her, per report. Police stated that he was at the entrance when they arrived.
Okpara Arnold was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment. His bond was set at $6,000.
