Columbia motorcyclist gets nabbed for running light, says bathroom to blame

45-year-old Thomas Holcomb was charged for reckless driving after police spotted his motorcycle traveling irresponsibly on N. Mt. Juliet Road and used the excuse that he needed to use the bathroom.

On May 14th, Officer Cameron Hoppe of the Mt. Juliet Police Department saw Holcomb driving his Honda motorcycle south on N. Mt. Juliet Road.

According to the affidavit, Holcomb drove through the center lane to avoid the backed-up traffic and ran the red light. Holcomb told Officer Hoppe he used the center lane and ran the light because he needed to go to the bathroom.

Thomas Holcomb was charged with reckless driving. He is scheduled to appear in court on November 2nd, 2020.
