Lebanon man violates bond conditions by helping woman that he assaulted three days earlier

46-year-old Jermale Humphries was charged with strangling and punching the victim in the face that deeply cut her lip causing it to bleed. Three days later the victim lets Humphries back into her house to sort through somethings and he gets charged with violation of conditions of release.

On May 14th, Officer Robertson arrived in the area of Camilla and Dahlia when he made contact with the victim, Kayla Kayser, who had a deep cut on her mouth that was bleeding and bruises on her neck. Kayser told police that she was in an argument with the defendant, Jermale Humphries, that became violent when he grabbed her hoodie. Then he started strangling her and punching her in the face several times, she stated.

But Humphries said that he only pushed her, not punch her.

On May 14th, Jermale Humphries was arrested and charged with domestic assault and violation of conditions of release. His bond was set at $1,000.

On May 17th, Deputy Darbonne was dispatched to 4812B Murfreesboro Road for a potential violation of conditions of release. He spoke to Kayser who told him that Humphries was in the house helping her go through some things which violated the conditions of release that ordered Humphries to have no contact with Kayser.

He was then arrested and charged with violating his conditions of release. He is currently being held in jail on a $7,500 bond.
