Lebanon woman charged for being disruptive at the emergency room

55-year-old Karen Demoor was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct when she refused to follow the instructions of medical staff at the Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital and was being disruptive by taking photos with her phone and refusing to stay in her room.

On May 11th, Officer Jeremiah Vantrease was called to assist hospital staff with a patient disrupting the emergency room. According to the affidavit, she refused to follow instructions given by staff and law enforcement. She was extremely intoxicated and presented a hazard to herself and others’ safety.

Karen Demoor was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct. She was later released on her own recognizance.
