On May 17th, Officer Speer arrived at 203 Phoenix Place Court in response to a 911 call for help. After investigating, Officer Speer found out that victim Misty Young’s 15-year-old daughter was spraying air freshener when her boyfriend Steven Adams yelled at her to stop.
Mad, he grabbed the daughter by her hair and threw her to the ground, she struggled to get free and managed to grab a cell phone to attempt to call 911. He then grabbed her by her ankles and pulled her across the floor and took the cell phone to prevent her from calling for help. Misty tried to come to her daughter’s aid but was punched in the face by the defendant that caused a visible injury, per report.
