Mt. Juliet woman holds knife to boyfriend’s throat, chokes and pistol-whips him, then runs off

41-year-old Elizabeth Crabtree was charged with aggravated assault, theft of property, and resisting arrest when she held a knife to her boyfriend’s throat, choked him, and pistol-whipped him before running from police.

On May 7th, police arrived at 210 Williamsburg Road for a suicidal subject. They made contact with Andrew Bennett, the victim, who told them that he and his girlfriend Elizabeth Crabtree got into an argument. He stated that it became violent when she threatened to harm herself and him by holding a knife to his throat.

She also choked him with her hands and hit him in the head with a Smith & Wesson .40 caliber pistol after she ran off. She was seen by police close to the residence and when she saw them, she ran. Officers caught her shortly after, where she admitted to throwing the pistol into the woods. Police retrieved it and placed Crabtree into custody because they determined that she was the primary aggressor.

Elizabeth Crabtree was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, theft of property, and resisting arrest. Her bond was set at $4,500.
