19-year-old Savion Jackson-Spencer was charged with aggravated domestic assault, possession of marijuana, driving on a suspended license, and theft of property when he almost crashed head-on into an off duty detective because he was arguing with his girlfriend and popping off shots.
On April 22nd, Mt. Juliet Police Corporal Lo was called to the area near Mile Marker 223.3 on Interstate 40 because off duty Detective Jack Byrd III had experienced a vehicle almost smash him head-on. The detective also stated that he observed the driver brandishing a handgun. According to affidavits, Detective Byrd conducted a traffic stop, and when Officer Lo arrived Savion Jackson-Spencer was exiting the vehicle with pistol in hand.
Further investigation determined that Savion and his passenger and girlfriend Asiah Sadler had been arguing when he fired the pistol twice to scare her. Savion was driving on a suspended license and the Glock 27, 40 caliber gun was reported stolen from Murfreesboro on February 19th. A search of Savion Jackson-Spencer’s jacket revealed two bags of a green, leafy substance and together weighed a total of 22.7 grams.
Savion Jackson-Spencer was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic assault, possession of marijuana, driving on a suspended license, and theft of property. His bond was set at $9,000.
