Trailer park argument leads to man punching and strangling girlfriend

42-year-old Oval Mudd was charged with aggravated assault after his girlfriend reported to police that he punched her several times and wrapped his hands around her throat, causing her eye to swell and marks all over her body.

On May 25th, Lebanon Police Department (LPD) Officer Vance arrived at 118 Webster Lane Lot number two and made contact with Ashley Floyd, the victim, who told police that her and her boyfriend, defendant, Oval Mudd, got into an argument. She stated that it became physical when he started striking her face and body with a closed fist for no apparent reason.

He knocked her to the floor, climbed on top of her, then proceeded to strangle her with his hands. Police noticed abrasions on her arms, small cuts on her face, and a swollen and red right eye. Mudd fled the scene before the police arrive, in the report, they caught up to him at 1000 North Cumberland Street where he told police that he did strike Floyd but only because she hit and bit him first.

Oval Mudd was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. His bond was set at $3,000.
