34-year-old Kapriel Trauernicht was charged with public intoxication, resisting and evading arrest when a citizen called to report an “unwanted” person yelling “help” on their porch. When officers asked her to leave the porch, a chase ensued.
On May 6th, WCSO Deputy Kinslow was dispatched to 2512 Gladewell Drive in regard to an “unwanted” person. The person who resides at the address reported a person was stationed on their porch yelling “help!”
According to affidavits, when authorities arrived they told Kapriel Trauernicht to come off the porch at which point she bolted off. She would not stop when they pursued her and continued resisting when then caught her. Officers noted she had dilated pupils and “was not making sense.”
Kapriel Trauernicht was arrested and charged with public intoxication, resisting arrest, and evading arrest. She was later released on her own recognizance.
