Florida men charged with meth after flipping a u-turn on Golden Bear Gateway

35-year-old Brian Edelman was charged with paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine and 49-year-old James McDermott was charged with possession of meth and driving on a suspended license after flipping a u-turn on Golden Bear Gateway.

On May 25th, Mt. Juliet Police Officer Jason Thomas stopped a vehicle that had made a u-turn on Golden Bear Gateway. The driver, James McDermott was found to be suspended from driving since 2013.

Officer Thomas searched the truck and found an Altoids tin which contained a small shard of suspected methamphetamine. Brian Edelman was the passenger of the truck and had attempted to hide a hypodermic needle. Neither man accepted ownership of the meth.

Brian Edelman was arrested and charged with drug paraphernalia and possession of meth. His bond was set at $3,500.

James McDermott was arrested and charged with possession of meth and driving on a suspended license. His bond was set at $3,500.
