38-year-old Jolene Mullins of Smyrna was charged with public intoxication after telling officers that she “didn’t have the fishing pole” when officers found her in the Lowe’s parking lot in Lebanon fumbling around.
On May 24th, officers from the Lebanon Police Department responded to a welfare check call at the Lowe’s on 634 S. Cumberland. When Officer Humes arrived, she found Destiny Mullins who was fumbling with her personal items.
She couldn’t carry on a lucid conversation with the officer, only telling the officer she “didn’t have the fishing pole.” Mullins was stumbling, twitching, and crawling on the pavement in the Lowe’s parking lot. Mullins did tell Humes she had taken Suboxone and smoked marijuana during that day. Mullins has a lengthy criminal history in Rutherford County.
Jolene Mullins was arrested and charged with public intoxication. She was later released on her own recognizance.
