Man released after fentanyl charge jailed in Trousdale County for fleeing wreck

23-year-old Jacob Kuykendall was charged with possession of fentanyl and paraphernalia when he was found incapacitated at a gas station. He was revived, charged, and released then 4 days later fled a wreck in Trousdale County.

On June 12th, Wilson County Sheriff’s Deputy Halle Mathis responded to a possible overdose at Sugg’s Creek X-press Fuel on 4429 Stewart’s Ferry Pike. According to affidavits, Deputy Mathis found Jacob Kuykendall unconscious behind the wheel of a vehicle. Wilson Emergency Management managed to revive him. Kuykendall was found with a baggy containing suspected fentanyl and a set of digital scales.

Jacob Kuykendall was arrested and charged with possession of fentanyl and paraphernalia. He was released on his own recognizance.

On June 17th, Trousdale County Sheriff’s Office released a photo via Facebook and the caption stated that the previous night, Kuykendall had wrecked on Old Highway 25 and fled the scene. He was caught after a foot chase and is currently jailed in Trousdale County.
