Narcan given to overdosed man at Mt. Juliet Mexican restaurant

25-year-old Christopher Carr was charged with possession of marijuana and suboxone, drug paraphernalia, and public intoxication after he was found overdosed near the Cinco De Mayo Mexican restaurant in Mt. Juliet.

On June 19th, Officer Wiley was dispatched to the Cinco De Mayo restaurant located on 580 Nonaville Rd in regards to an individual experiencing an overdose. Upon arrival, Wiley discovered a man with shortness of breath bent forward in the front floorboard of a vehicle. Wiley proceeded to provide Narcan to the individual, who was later identified as Christopher Carr.

Following the stabilization of Carr’s breathing, law enforcement initiated a search of the vehicle. Further investigation revealed a lunch box containing a glass pipe, liquid Suboxone alongside rolling paper presumably utilized for marijuana. Additionally, powdered opioids in the form of Suboxone were discovered on the inside of Carr’s wallet. Carr would later confess to not having a doctor’s authorization to use the drugs.

Christopher Carr was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and suboxone, drug paraphernalia, and public intoxication. His bond was set at $4,000.
