Murfreesboro musician charged with first DUI in Lebanon

21-year-old Kathryn Caggianelli was charged with driving under the influence following an admittance to drinking in Nashville before being stopped on Murfreesboro Rd. The charge serves as the first offense of DUI for Caggianelli, who is an American singer-songwriter based in Murfreesboro.

On June 21st, Deputy Conner observed a vehicle having trouble maintaining a lane of travel. Conner initiated a traffic stop on Murfreesboro Rd due to the vehicle’s questionable behavior. Upon approach to the vehicle, contact was made with the driver – who was identified as Kathryn Caggianelli. According to the affidavit, Caggianelli emitted a scent similar to that of alcohol from her breath and person.

The deputy additionally observed that the woman spoke in a slurred manner of speech. Caggianelli confessed to consuming drinks in Nashville before getting behind the wheel to drive. Field sobriety tests were administered, in which Caggianelli displayed signs of intoxication throughout. Due to the woman’s impairment, Conner proceeded to place Caggianelli into custody for driving under the influence.

Kathryn Caggianelli was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. Her bond was set at $1,000.
