Intoxicated homeless man enters Holiday Wash after being banned

33-year-old Joseph Harley was charged with public intoxication and criminal trespassing after officers witnessed him being removed from Holiday Wash that he was banned from entering and found him to be intoxicated.

On August 11th, officers were responding to a call about a person with a knife at Hardee’s on South Cumberland Street. Upon arrival, officers did not spot a suspect with a knife. Although, it was noticed that Joseph Harley was being removed from the Holiday Wash at 705 South Cumberland.

The officer had prior knowledge of Harley being banned from that location by the Lebanon Police Department. A computer check revealed that Harley was in fact told to not return to that property on July 21st. Harley was observed to be slurring his words and was unsteady on his feet. For his safety and that of others, he was taken into custody.

Joseph Harley was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing and public intoxication. His bond was set at $1,000.
