License plate reader locates stolen vehicle near Central Pike

35-year-old Adrian Thompson was charged with theft of property and driving on a revoked license after a license plate reader near Central Pike in Mount Juliet located a stolen vehicle via digital plate verification.

On August 6th, officers received a report that a plate reader located near Central Pike in Mount Juliet had located a stolen vehicle. Officers reported to the scene and observed the vehicle in the area of Central Pike and South Mt. Juliet Road. The officer initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as Adrian Thompson.

After researching the brown 2007 Chevrolet Silverado in the system, officers verified that the vehicle had been reported stolen on June 24th in Davidson County. When officers checked Thompson’s DMV records, they discovered that his license had also been revoked in Rutherford County following his 3rd DUI conviction as of January 23rd, 2019.

Adrian Thompson was arrested and charged with theft of property and driving on a revoked license. His bond was set at $8,500.
