32-year-old Joseph Street was charged with motor vehicle burglary after being caught on camera in the parking lot of Academy Sports in Mt. Juliet smashing in the driver side window of a vehicle and ransacking it.
On July 24th, officers were dispatched to 549 Pleasant Grove Road in Mount Juliet to a burglarized vehicle incident on the property. When officers reviewed the video footage for the outside parking lot at Academy Sports, they observed a man, later identified as Joseph Street, bust out the front driver side window.
Then he reached and unlocked the driver door so that he could enter the vehicle. Another car pulled up while Street was still ransacking the vehicle causing him to abandon his mission and flee the scene.
Joseph Street was arrested and charged with burglary of a motor vehicle. His bond was set at $2,000.
