Nashville woman gets DUI after officer halts sobriety test for her safety

36-year-old Michelle Danihel was charged with driving under the influence when a deputy found her motionless on the roadway and had to stop sobriety tests halfway through because she could not safely complete them.

On August 2nd, Wilson County Sheriff’s Deputy Chris Conner observed a truck stopped on Matterhorn Drive hindering other drivers. According to the affidavit, Deputy Conner found Michelle Danihel in the driver’s seat and she exhibited typical signs of impairment.

Danihel was confused and not sure of her location. The deputy asked her to perform field sobriety tasks but stopped partially through for her safety.

Michelle Danihel was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. She was later released on her own recognizance.
