Indiana man strangles girlfriend at Comfort Suites

21-year-old David Davis was charged with domestic assault and interfering with an emergency call after he strangled his girlfriend and hung up the phone when she attempted to call 911.

On September 10th, Mount Juliet Police K9 Officer Barth dispatched to Comfort Suites located at 600 Redink Drive, in regards to a domestic in progress. The officer stated that the third party caller was hung up on by David Davis. Officer Barth made contact with Chelsea Hansen who was crying and seemed very distraught. Chelsea stated that she had been in a verbal argument with her boyfriend, Davis.

She explained that David took her phone and began strangling her. She was unable to get away from him so she hit him in the chest. When she attempted to call her father on the hotel phone, David hung up the phone and drug her off the bed before leaving the room. Officer Barth made contact with David in the parking lot where he denied the assault.

David Davis was arrested and charged with domestic assault and interfering with emergency calls. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $2,000 bond.
