Madison man hits curb disabling car after drinks at Cahoots Bar

27-year-old Daniel Harter was charged with driving under the influence when he struck a curb disabling his vehicle after a night of drinking at Cahoots Bar.

On September 5th, Lebanon Police Corporal Kevin Ragland observed a vehicle near the intersection of Tennessee Boulevard and South College Street. The driver, Daniel Harter, had struck a curb disabling his vehicle. He had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath and was unsteady on his feet. Daniel admitted to drinking at Cahoots Bar prior to driving.

Upon performing Standardized Field Sobriety Tasks, he showed signs of impairment. Corporal Ragland found two open containers of alcoholic beverages in the center console of the vehicle. This is Daniel’s first driving under the influence offense.

Daniel Harter was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. His bond was set at $1,000.
