Hendersonville woman admits to drinking at Corner Pub before driving #DUI

57-year-old Laura Potts was charged with DUI when an officer found her based on a description given to them by Corner Pub’s owner who reported that she drove away after drinking at the bar.

On October 3rd, Mt. Juliet Police Officer Jordan Brown received a call about an intoxicated woman who drove away from Corner Pub after drinking. Officer Brown was able to get a description of Laura Potts and the vehicle she was driving from the owner of the bar.

After finding the vehicle matching the description, he observed Potts turn into the parking lot of Sweet Cece’s. During his encounter with Potts, he noticed the odor of alcohol on her breath along with red watery eyes and slurred speech. She admitted to drinking alcohol prior to driving at Corner Pub. Potts was unsteady while exiting her vehicle and during the multiple standardized field sobriety tests.

Laura Potts was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. She was released a $1,000 bond.
