29-year-old Fredy Ramos Lemus was charged with driving under the influence and driving without a license after a witness reported that he had driven in the oncoming lane numerous times and was involved in a hit and run on Golden Bear Gateway in Mt. Juliet.
On November 7th, Wilson County Sheriff Deputy Jason Denson responded to a possible impaired driver call on South Mt. Juliet Road. Denson stated in his report that the driver had been involved in a hit and run on Golden Bear Gateway. A complainant, Garrett Yeager, stated that he followed the vehicle and observed the driver pull off the road as if he was turning into a driveway but the vehicle ended up in the grass and the driver appeared to be slumped over the wheel.
Deputy Denson made contact with the driver, Fredy Ramos-Lemus, who reportedly had an odor associated with alcoholic beverages on his person and breath. Field Sobriety tests were not offered by Deputy Denson due to a language barrier. A police computer system check showed Ramos-Lemus did not have a valid driver’s license.
Fredy Ramos Lemus was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and driving without a license. He is ineligible for bond and is currently jailed by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer.
