Woman admits to drinking Rum and Coke before biting her boyfriend’s hand

38-year-old Katie Potts was charged with domestic assault and public intoxication after she bit her boyfriend during an argument.

On October 24th, Lebanon Police Officer Robert was dispatched to a domestic in progress call at Carthage Highway/East Main Street. Upon arrival, contact was made with David McWilliams who was pulled over on the side of the roadway. His girlfriend, Katie Potts, was in the roadway flagging the officer down.

Katie had a strong smell of alcohol coming from her person with red watery eyes and slurred speech. David stated that Katie bit him between his index finger and thumb, while they were in a verbal argument. Katie admitted to the officer that she drank rum and coke before the incident.

Katie Potts was arrested and charged with domestic assault and public intoxication. She was released on a $1,500 bond.
