Trooper Topps stated Watts needed help exiting her vehicle due to unsteadiness on her feet and, she was too inebriated to perform the sobriety tests offered. The trooper noted several medication bottles in her purse, and Watts admitted to being too impaired to drive.

Cynthia Watts was arrested and charged with DUI. She was released on her own recognizance.
