49-year-old Cynthia Watts was charged with DUI after police say she was too intoxicated to attempt any sobriety tests and was found to have multiple pill bottles in her purse.
On November 21st, Lebanon Highway Patrol Trooper DeWunya Topps responded to a crash on I-840. Upon arrival, Trooper Topps made contact with Cynthia Watts, who had a hard time finding her identification. She exhibited slurred speech, confusion, and pinpoint pupils.
Trooper Topps stated Watts needed help exiting her vehicle due to unsteadiness on her feet and, she was too inebriated to perform the sobriety tests offered. The trooper noted several medication bottles in her purse, and Watts admitted to being too impaired to drive.
Cynthia Watts was arrested and charged with DUI. She was released on her own recognizance.
