In the case of a couple going through a divorce, police say husband David Sharber has been sneaking into his (separated) wife’s home with a spare key, and on October 5th, is accused of assaulting her and asking her to kill him, as she was already ruining his life…
The Wilson County Sheriff’s Office responded to Overhills Drive on October 5th, in response to a domestic violence call. Cpl Howard learned that Amanda & David Sharber are in the middle of a divorce, and no longer live together, however, David had apparently come into possession to a key to the home Amana was living in, and let himself in on several occasions. On this night, she was preparing for bed when she heard her youngest child say “Daddy” and realized David was in the home.
She informed David he had to leave, at which time she says he pushed her against a wall in the kitchen and held her by her neck with his hands. She says he then grabbed her, push her to the floor as she tried to escape, and she nearly lost consciousness. She rolled in an attempt to escape again, however, he then allegedly pinned her to the floor while yelling at her. As she used her phone to record the altercation, he grabbed the phone, hit her with it, then pushed her down on the couch, pulled out a knife and told her to kill him, as she was already ruining his life, according to an arrest warrant.
David Sharber was booked into the Wilson County Jail, charged with aggravated domestic assault. He was released on a $2,500 bond after the state-mandated 12-hour domestic violence hold.
